Next up on my list of Ladenbod Recommendations is Lineage Provisions! If you are like me, then finding nutrient-dense foods that are free of toxins and chemicals is a must. And if you can find foods that are convenient and easy for on-the-go mom life, even better. That is why I am so grateful for companies like Lineage Provisions. They make it easy to give my kids the nutrient-dense foods they need, while also fueling a busy and always on-the-go mom. Read on to learn more about Lineage Provisions and why they are one of my favorite household staples.

What is Lineage Provisions?

Lineage Provisions is a real food company founded in 2023 by Dr. Paul Saladino, MD and Dr. Anthony Gustin. Dr. Saladino is a board-certified physician and nutrition specialist who is the founder of Heart & Soil and author of The Carnivore Code. Dr. Gustin is an entrepreneur who has founded multiple health food companies like Equip Foods, Zero Acre, and Perfect Keto. He also invests in other real food companies like Force of Nature Meats, Kettle & Fire, Masa Chips, and many more.

Over at Lineage Provisions, their goal is to make “the cleanest, tastiest, and most nutrient dense snacks and supplements on the planet.”¹ In my opinion, they succeeded.

Reasons to love Lineage Provisions:

• Their products use regeneratively-sourced, grass-fed & finished beef
• They rigorously test for glyphosate, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, and over 450 other contaminants. And if you want to see these reports, all you have to do is ask.
• The founders have a proven track record in promoting real food for humans that are consistent with an animal-based diet and eating as nature intended. This is extremely reassuring that anything they produce is safe for the whole family.
• They make animal-based eating easy, providing convenient and nutrient-dense products that are free of all of the typical fake ingredients of the standard American diet.

I personally have purchased and tried all of their current products. My absolute favorite products, and the ones I buy on repeat, I am highlighting below with my full review.

AB Complete Chocolate Protein

I make a delicious AB Complete Chocolate protein shake almost daily with our fantastic raw milk. It is one of my absolute favorite go-to options when I am in a rush, or for those days when I don’t have enough leftovers for both the kids and I, and I don’t feel like making something extra for myself (if you are a mom, I am sure you have those days too). While I would not consider this protein shake to be a meal replacement shake, it certainly leaves me feeling satisfied when I am on the go. And if you are someone who is strictly following an animal-based diet or does not consume chocolate, the Original AB Complete Protein is also delicious, especially for not having any additional flavors.

What I Love:

• The Ingredients List!
  • Like I said before, at Lineage Provisions you will not find any artificial sweeteners, gums, or any other unnatural additives. These products are crafted with the purest ingredients that Dr. Saladino and Dr. Gustin would give to their own friends and family.

• The Taste!
  • I have been on my own health journey since I was 13 years old and extremely overweight for my age. I have tried numerous protein powder options, and many of which are ones that I would gawk at if I read those ingredient labels today. As a clean protein powder that also has beef organs, colostrum, and other real ingredients in it, the taste is amazing! I’m not just saying that it is good for a healthy protein powder: it actually tastes great compared to a protein powder that does use artificial ingredients and sweeteners.
• How I Feel!
  • There are numerous protein powders on the market, all with different standards of ingredients. A lot of people often experience some form of discomfort from their protein powder, such as bloating, gas, or just an upset stomach in general. From my personal experience, this is has not been the case with AB Complete, and I think this is a testament to the quality of the ingredients that are included and the testing they undergo to ensure they are the cleanest products possible.

What I Don’t Love:

When I say that this is the only thing I don’t love, I will admit even I would say take this with a grain of salt because sometimes this is true for me, and other times it’s not. The only complaint I have with the AB Complete Proteins – both the original and chocolate versions – is the clumping of the powder. I want to be as upfront as possible, and this could totally be user error, but it is definitely not a protein powder that you can just shake and it mixes together easily. Lineage Provisions does sell an amazing rechargeable frother – definitely buy that if you try their protein powder – and with it, the powder definitely mixes better, but I have found that even then, there can be a decent amount of clumping.

For me personally, I just ignore it, drink it anyways, or I mix it up really well with my frother, let the bubbles settle (I exclusively drink this using raw milk, I have not tried it with water), and then mix it again. Sometimes this will help and other times, I just drink it and ignore the little clumps. But, I know there are some people out there that would find that impossible to do. I also like to keep in mind that the reason some protein powders on the market mix so easily is because they include anti-clumping agents – something Lineage Provisions does not include for obvious reasons. For that reason alone, I don’t mind a bit of extra clumping.

This is obviously not a deal breaker for me as it is my favorite protein powder on the market, but I want to be as upfront as possible and I know texture and mixing/clumping is a pretty common question when it comes to protein powders.

100% Grass-Fed Beef Tallow

What I Love:

• I actually love everything about this tallow. I love that it is packaged in glass, that it is regeneratively raised 100% grass-fed beef, and that I know it is rigorously tested, just like everything else at Lineage Provisions.
• The Color, Texture, & Taste:
  • The color and texture of this tallow is unlike any others that I have tried on the market. It is the only one I have ever seen with its deep yellow color and it is by far the smoothest and creamiest tallow on the market. Most tallows I have used in the past are hard, white and honestly don’t smell great. But this tallow smells great, and tastes even better, whether I am cooking a steak in my cast iron skillet or frying up some potatoes in my air-fryer.

What I Don’t Love:

• For this product, I actually don’t have a single thing about it that I don’t like. Prior to trying Lineage Provisions’ Beef Tallow, I had been using another brand of 100% organic grass-fed beef tallow and I initially thought I liked it more. But, and this is a big but, as I consistently used Lineage Provision’s product, I couldn’t go back to the other product. So, easy to say, I’m 100% committed to their tallow now and it is the only tallow I use – meaning besides butter, it is basically the only cooking oil I use at all.

Their Other Products

The two products above are my absolute favorites that I use on a daily basis. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t love the other products that they offer. So here is a quick overview of their other products for sale:

• 100% Organic Honey
  • This honey is 100% organic, raw, unfiltered, and hand-harvested far away from human activity. It has undetectable levels of glyphosate, pesticides, herbicides, and is free of over 450 other contaminants. If you want proof of these claims, feel free to reach out to Lineage Provisions and they will happily provide their various test results that prove just how safe their honey is.
  • On top of all of that, the honey is delicious. In my opinion, it does not have that sharp or almost stinging sensation that some honeys often have, and it mixes beautifully into all kinds of things from smoothies, to protein shakes, to baked goods.
  • I recently started baking fresh-milled honey wheat sourdough and use only Lineage Provisions Honey in the recipe and it is amazing!

• 100% Grass-fed Air-Dried Steak
  • Now I know what you are thinking, isn’t air-dried beef just jerky? I can’t say that I know exactly how this steak is made compared to your traditional jerky, but this air-dried steak is nothing like jerky. In fact, it is way better! Even if you are a fan of Carnivore Snax and their crispy meat snacks, Lineage Provisions’ product is actually different enough that you will love having both on hand as easy grab-and-go snacks.
  • And for anyone that is reading this and looking for a good protein rich snack for their kids, this beef is thinly sliced and incredibly tender, making it an easy snack for kids as well! This sets it apart from traditional jerky that you can’t even chew as an adult sometimes.

• Creatine Monohydrate
  • The creatine from Lineage Provisions is a great option for those looking to improve their muscular performance, mental clarity, and overall health. Creatine is an essential nutrient only found in animal products. Unless you are eating 2 lbs of meat or more a day, you are probably not getting enough. Unlike other brands, this creatine is 3^rd party tested for heavy metals, glyphosate, and more. It has added sea salt for better absorption and hydration. And it is micronized, making it easy to blend into any of your favorite drinks.

• AB Complete Protein Original
  • I love everything about the AB Complete Protein, whether it is the original flavor or the chocolate. As a protein powder with no specific flavor added to it, it tastes delicious, especially when mixed with raw milk. And just like the chocolate variety, I love having an easy go-to option when I need it most.
• 100% Grass-fed Beef and Organ Meat Sticks
  • The organ and meat steaks is the first product that Lineage Provisions offered when it opened its doors in 2023 and it was the first one that I tried too. As you can tell from the rest of this post, I love their products, but I have to be honest: I am not a huge fan of the beef sticks. I love that they created a beef stick that has organ meats in it as an additional option for incorporating organs into your diet on the go, but I definitely prefer the protein powder and the air-dried steak in this instance.
  • If you are familiar with the taste of organ meats and enjoy the flavor, then you will have no problem with these meat sticks. For me, as someone that gets her organ meats primarily through the protein powder or Heart & Soil’s desiccated organ supplements, I was not a huge fan, even though I really wanted to be. As an option for kids, these are definitely much harder to chew compared to the air-dried steak, and so as an on-the-go protein option for everyone in your family, I would opt for the air-dried steak as my family’s go-to.
• Grass-Fed Nose-to-Tail Collagen
  • I love this collagen! I have been adding collagen to my coffee and protein shakes for years now and you would think all collagens are the same right? Nope. Not in the slightest. This collagen is on another level! It contains all three types of collagen, 15 grams of bovine collagen acerola berries for vitamin c, leading to better absorption, and eggshell membrane for even more vitamins and nutrients!
  • This collagen mixes beautifully into coffee and pairs beautifully with AB Complete protein in my favorite raw milk!
• Lineage Regen Roast Coffee
  • This is the newest release from Lineage Provisions, and let me tell you, you will not be disappointed! My husband and I recently tried this for the first time and it tastes amazing! Better than I would have expected.
  • If you are looking for the best quality coffee on the market, look no further! This coffee is regeneratively grown and third-party tested for mold, mycotoxins, glyphosate, and metals, so you can trust that this coffee is free of all of the nasties of conventional coffee.
  • What shocked me the most about this coffee is that my husband and I have been drinking either decaf or 1/3 caffeinated coffee for the last few months and after having a cup of this coffee, I didn’t feel jittery at all, something I totally would have expected.
